A Message from Amy
I welcome the opportunity to partner with you! I am a high-energy, fun-loving professional who appreciates that we are all flawed but genuinely want to be better. I have an extensive background working in all facets of human resources, but that's not what makes working with me special. I am extraordinarily empathetic and compassionate but willing to demonstrate tough love to help you grow. I am intuitive and pick up on cues that most people miss. I am detail-oriented and treat my clients with care and professionalism. Listening to understand–without interruption or judgment–is one of my greatest attributes.
I have thrived in various industries, ranging from finance and gaming to government and higher education. I've built multiple, respected human resources departments from the ground up by leveraging my innovative spirit and honed ability to identify, engage, and maximize talent. I was born into a military family and subsequently got married to my husband, who proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He is now retired and works in cyber forensics. We have three sons who we are extraordinarily proud of, two of whom chose to serve in the armed forces, while the other continues to pursue his career in the music industry. Through my experiences, I became courageous, humble, and confident. I am empathetic toward any parent who is just trying to "figure it out" and keep their head above water.
I took an unconventional path to earning my degrees. Despite a deep desire to pursue my bachelor's degree upon graduating from high school, I did not have the financial means. I started working full-time immediately upon graduation and continued to aspire to someday earn my degrees. Despite not having a degree, I worked very hard to prove that I was worthy of every opportunity I was afforded. In the interim, I pursued my human resources certifications to demonstrate my competencies in the human resources field. Working full-time and raising three kids, I finally completed my bachelor's degree in 2010 and quickly pivoted to complete my master's degree in record time, finishing in 2012 with honors. I believe you can achieve your goals, but only if you are dedicated and willing to sacrifice whatever it takes. I have found success by exercising curiosity, demonstrating courage, and learning from my mistakes. Beyond all else, I never compromise my principles and values.
Success favors the stubborn, and I assure you I will never give up on your aspirations.
♥ Amy
